Jodie Thomas, a lettings negotiator from our Martin & Co Worthing office had a shock call on the 9th June 2010 to inform her that her partner of 10 years had been involved in an explosion in Afghanistan whilst on a tour of duty in bomb disposal for the Army.
This led to an anxious few weeks when his life was in the balance. Thankfully he pulled through but the explosion left him with life changing injuries.
Being a close working team in our office, we all lived with the anxiety and then with the news of his progress to regain his health and mobility. This is down to the amazing work of Hedley Court Rehabilitation Centre in Surrey and a strong and positive mental attitude. He is an inspiration to us all.
His and many others determination to be independent and lead a normal life is assisted by the support of Hedley Court. They are supported by Help for Heroes which is why we are all supporting Jodie in her efforts to raise funds for this worthy charity.
Despite a fear of heights, Jodie is attempting a 15,000ft Skydive on 18th June 2011 at Headcorn Parachute Club and would appreciate any help with sponsorship that you can give.
