Calling All Worthing Superheroes
Worthing seafront was awash with underpants worn over tights last weekend as the Love your hospital Fun Run took place.
Raising money for the cardiac unit and Cath Lab at Worthing Hospital, the fun run had a brilliant turn out with people of all ages dressed to impress in capes and catsuits.
A massive thank you to organisers, Love your hospitals, who work tirelessly to help our local Health Trust and put on another brilliant event.
thebestofworthing team put on their best scrubs and called in our beloved Juliette to take part, eventually raising around £250 – so thank you to everyone who sponsored us!
Each and every one of the fun run participants received a Love your hospital medal, and prizes were awarded for the fastest and the best dressed runners:
Fastest Male: Barney Bristow
Fastest Boy: Master Randall
Fastest Female: Sarah Randall
Fastest Girl: Miss O’Brien
Best Dressed Group: Squirrels Nursery
Best Dressed Family: Toghill Family
Best Dressed Boy and Girl: The Ellis’
Best Dressed Male: Colin Bolton
It was a wonderful, if a bit windy, afternoon with a lot of smiling faces and lots of money raised for an important local cause. The fundraising will go towards Worthing Hospital’s new cardiac unit and catheterisation laboratory used to carry out potentially life-saving heart procedures.
