Worthing Thunder Basketball Club today announce the departure of assistant coach and team captain James Brame.

The departure is due to a business opportunity in the United States of America which Brame felt is the best for him.

However, the job is only temporary and head coach Daniel Hildreth has said that James is welcome back at any time. Hildreth also said: “I’m truly gutted James has to leave but I totally support why he is doing it. The team will definitely miss his experience and leadership on the court. It’s time for some of the other guys to step now and fill the void." Worthing Thunder Chairman Frank Gainsbury said: “It’s a shame that James has to depart the team. James is Worthing Thunder, he is the heart of the team and he has been a professional on and off the court.

This is an exciting opportunity for him though and he leaves with all our best wishes.” Worthing Thunder Basketball Club would like to wish James all the best in his new endeavour.
