Joan Armatrading (June 29, 8pm) Worthing Assembly Hall

Ivor Novello winner visits Worthing within a month of her latest release.

Ivor Novello winner and three times Grammy nominated Brit Award nominee Joan Armatrading returns to Worthing Assembly Hall on Friday June 29 within a month of her latest album release.

The MBE-honoured singer-songwriter provides her Worthing audience with the opportunity to be among the first to hear her new album Starlight performed live.

Joan will be touring with her four-piece band which includes bass, drums and keyboards with Joan on guitars. She will be mixing favourites such as Love and Affection, Willow, Drop the Pilot, The Weakness in Me and Me, Myself I with her new tracks.

During her long and illustrious career Joan has been successful in all musical genres, from pop and blues to folk and reggae. Starlight is a jazz-influenced album which complements her pop-influenced 2010 release This Charming Life and 2007 blues-influenced release Into the Blues.

The new album includes ten new compositions which will be woven throughout her Worthing date, including the title track Starlight and others such as Always on my Mind and Summer Kisses.
