The Worthing Wordies are getting well and truly into the Christmas spirit. You’ve no doubt been aware that all the local big stores have been positively heaving with festive decorations for weeks - and our local literary luvvies are convinced that Sunday November 30th really isn’t too early to present their latest performance at the Ardington Hotel.

“It’s boldly entitled Christmas Stuffing,” says Wordies host Gill Medway. “We’re including a heady mix of poetry, prose and pantomime that’s absolutely guaranteed to put you in a jolly frame of mind before the seasonal mayhem truly begins!”

The line-up features Russ Bravo, Wendy Greene, Audrey Lee, Gill Medway, Jane Ware and popular newcomer Isaac Finch.

“We have a regular, devoted audience who come back to see us time and again,” says actress Jane Ware. “But, of course, we’d love to introduce more people to our very special brand of performance.”

Christmas is the absolute best time to enjoy poetry and stories – so whether you love Dickens, Betjeman or a good, old-fashioned knees-up panto, the Wordies have it covered. What’s more, performances always conclude with a fabulous two-course dinner with wine in the famous Indigo restaurant.

Christmas Stuffing starts at 6pm, followed by dinner at 7.15pm. Tickets cost £23 and are available from the Ardington Hotel on 01903 230451 or email reservations@ardingtonhotel.co.uk. Booking is essential.
