Family Fun Time in Worthing

I put my Sherlock Holmes hat on and went looking for options that are FREE.  I not surprisingly came up with quite a few.

It is important to spend time together and it doesn’t have to cost.  Spending time together nurtures not only children but adults too. Helping to build happy healthy relationships, it helps to build good communication whilst having fun at the same time.

So what’s on offer…

The one event not to be missed is the Worthing Bird Man Event - hosted by my son, International Kite Surfing Champion – Lewis Crathern alongside DJ Dave Hunt on 14th and 15th August, where competitors will launch themselves off the end of the pier in an attempt to fly.  Some competing for charity.

A visit to the Worthing Library for those seeking peace and quiet in an otherwise busy environment, which caters for toddlers to teens and beyond.  The Library offers various activities and sessions that are free.  Wonderful for our minds, the learning of something new.  Releasing endorphins (happy hormones) a by-product of having fun.

Picnic and a Trip to the Beach, with a bucket, spade and blanket.  Always remembering your high factor sun block.  A great fun way to spend the day.

A walk along the seafront to enjoy some of the new features that Worthing Council have invested in over the last couple of years.  For fitness and health there is the new outside gym, East of Splashpoint, or for those interested there is a table tennis table, be mindful you will need to take your own bat and ball!

A gentle stroll around some of Worthing’s parks and gardens, getting back to nature to admire the beauty of the flowering plants.  This can help you clear your mind and regain some focus.

Enjoy the summer, whether you have children or not, Worthing’s attractions are hard beat, and having fun is one of the most important ingredients to a happy, healthy, balanced life and one of the easiest to enjoy and obtain.

If you are suffering from stress, taking some time out for yourself, allows you to put things in perspective and focus on what is really important in life, which isn’t the to-do list.
