dizzy : Support for Diabetes Sponsor Golf and Thank You Day
dizzy : Support or Diabetes held its inaugural Golf Day on Friday 12th August at Chichester Golf Clubs stunning surroundings, with the sun shining!
This lovely event was organised by both Jools at dizzy along with Melanie Peters who also works as part of thebestofworthing.
Some twenty seven sponsors, clients and supporters of the social enterprise attended and had a thoroughly good game, with some mixed results in golfing fortune.
Teaching Professional and Hill Barn Golf Club’s new resident Head Professional, David Fluke joined the dizzy team for the event giving some top tips along the way. However this still was not enough for the might of team from St Mary’s Gate who headed up the leader board after 18-holes of the glorious game (with a massive 97 stableford points from the top two scores per hole).
Well done to them, and a massive thank you to Darren Crabb for providing the wonderful prizes for the winning bandits.
The team at Spofforths grabbed the Runners-Up spot and each of their players walked away with a quality bottle of Red Vino.
The other teams playing included : Enterprise Actions (HR Consultants), Bennett Griffin Solicitors, Clarity Copiers – Worthing, European Office Products and many more.
A big thank you to all those who donated raffle prizes on the day. Graham at Cartridge World donated a full colour printer, Flowers Unlimited in Hove gave a beautiful bouquet of flowers, there was also wine, rounds of golf and much more available to win!
Finally a big thank you to all the staff at Chichester Golf Club who greeted attendees with bacon sandwiches, teas and coffees.
Everyone who attended thoroughly enjoyed the event and are already looking forward to next years dizzy Golf Day!
