As a business joining Green Tourism you must be assessed on a rigorous set of criteria from energy to waste management and if you do meet the standard are rewarded either a Bronze, Silver or Gold certificate.
Chatsworth have worked hard to gain this prestigious prize by putting policies in place to ‘go green’. Make sure you make the most of their schemes and help work towards green tourism.
If you are travelling to the hotel by public transport (either train or bus) all you need to do is hand over your travel ticket on arrival and you will receive a £5 reduction off full rates per person.*
Chatsworth staff also support ClimateCare, an award winning carbon offset provider which offers a service to reduce greenhouse gases on behalf of individuals and businesses to help compensate their impact on the climate. Carbon offsetting allows your business to take responsibility for your emissions by funding projects reducing CO2 in the atmosphere through other means including wind power, human energy and renewable biomass projects.
As a business, Chatsworth Hotel also supports the walkers and cyclists schemes and work with local organisations to help promote this. Last year they worked alongside middle schools to design a green poster and will continue this work in the local community to help promote green issues.
