Charity gala evening at Petworth House
A Charity Gala Evening of music, fashion and theatrical entertainment is being hosted at Petworth House on Thursday May 5th, 6pm – 10pm.
For the first time, Petworth House has agreed to allow guests to be entertained inside the beautiful 17th century mansion at the event in aid of CHASE - Hospice care for children and the National Trust.
A diverse evening of entertainment will begin in the stunning Marble Hall with exclusive tours of the house and music from concert pianist Lauren Hibberd. Drinks and food will be served followed by a fashion show from The Essence of Fashion, wine tasting, and an auction and raffle.
Special guest appearances by actress and Carry On star Fenella Fielding and actor and writer Nigel Anthony will round off the evening as they perform “An actor’s life for me” – excerpts and anecdotes from life in the theatre.
The Gala has been organised by Alice Chambers of the Essence of Fashion who says: “This will be a really exciting evening offering something for everyone. It’s also a great way of raising money for the National Trust and for CHASE, which does such fantastic work for children with life-limiting illnesses.
