Charity Christmas Fair in Aid of The Luke Cory Trust
10th November 2011

On Saturday 26th November there will be a Charity Christmas Event in aid of the Luke Cory Trust. This event will be held at Oak Grove College between 1pm and 4pm and is sponsored by our very own members A2B Taxis.

Luke was such a special little boy to everyone who met him. He was diagnosed with AML (Acute Mye Leukaemia) and subsequently underwent numerous rounds of chemotherapy, only for it to return on two more occasions. Despite a bone marrow transplant, radiotherapy and all the advances in medicine, Luke tragically died in December 2009 at just 6 years old.

His parents and friends have set up this Trust to give other families with children facing life threatening illnesses a chance of making valuable memories by funding a holiday home at Bunn Leisure in Selsey. Luke and his parents had this chance in the New Forest while Luke was well enough to go and they desperately want other families to have the same opportunity. Bunn Leisure Holiday Park in Selsey was a favourite of Luke’s and the location is close to Chichester Hospital, so children who need treatment or emergency care can be provided for. The Luke Cory Trust seeks to provide holiday memories, happiness and periods of escape for these children and their families during very difficult and trying time.

Not only is this event for a great cause, but it is also a chance for local artists and creatives to sell their beautiful items to the local community. If you would like to have your own stall on the day they are only £10 each and all money goes towards the charity. You are then able to get selling and keep whatever money you earn!

It is set to be a fun, family event for the whole community. There will be plenty of stalls for you to start purchasing those early Christmas gifts from wood, fabric, mosaics, jewellery, stockings, bunting and much more!

There will also be stalls for people to promote their businesses such as Zumba classes, and even mini treatments like nail painting and hand massages and a raffle with lots of great prizes!

There are a few stalls left, and they are also looking for raffle prizes. If any business would like to donate a prize please get in contact by calling 07780 971383.
