Local resident Justine Crookall has organised a charity pamper, shopping and craft evening for Breast Cancer Care and has over fifty stallholder bookings already. However, the event is in need of some volunteers to help both in advance and on the day itself.
The fundraising evening, due to take place on Friday 30th March at Burgess Hill School for Girls will feature various beauty treatments along with an array of crafts, clothes, accessories and gifts for sale. Miss Crookall has received great support for the Grand Raffle with some amazing prizes being donated from companies all over the south including spa days, golf games, afternoon tea at the Grand Hotel in Brighton and tickets to a West End Show to name a few. Due to the high level of participation, the event is using two large halls in the school and so Miss Crookall particularly needs volunteers to assist her with managing the event on the night itself.
Sponsored by LJ's Cafe in Burgess Hill, stalls will be open from 6.00 – 9.30pm and the evening promises to be a large event for the town. Miss Crookall is currently looking for any volunteers to help to promote the event, to help on the day, donations from local companies for the goodie bags, raffle prizes and even cakes to sell on the refreshments stall.
Miss Crookall says “I have put a huge amount of work into this event and so I hope it can be a great success. It has been months in the planning and anyone that can make themselves available to help me can be proud that they are helping to raise money for a very important cause”.
“Breast Cancer Care is an amazing charity and one that is close to a lot of people’s hearts. I hope that Burgess Hill can show its community spirit and help support this wonderful event.”
