Award-winning singer/songwriter Clive John will be joined by Jill Schoonjans to recreate Johnny Cash’s legendary songs at the Pavilion Theatre in Worthing.

Clive’s song Winner from his latest album The Spirit was named HotDisc Track of the Year at the British Country Music Awards 2011 but the singer can be found most frequently starring in The Johnny Cash Roadshow as ‘the man in black’.

The Johnny Cash Roadshow includes material from throughout Johnny Cash’s career, ranging from Walk the Line and Folsom Prison Blues which were recorded with Sun Records in the 1950s to Hurt the Nine Inch Nails song which Johnny Cash released in 2002 before he died.

In addition to the classics such as Boy Named Sue and The Ring of Fire, the show also focuses on the duets Johnny and June sang including Jackson, Darling Companion and Help Me Make it Through the Night. A new section of the show has been dedicated to Jill Schoonjans on Autoharp performing solo as June Carter.

Johnny and June’s on-stage chemistry will be brought to the stage through accompanying videos which provide images of the country couple throughout their lives and performances.

Backing Clive John and Jill Schoonjans will be Nick Davis, Alan Parker, and Jim ‘E’ Williams performing as The Spirit Band.
