Traffic Delays Expected

Worthing residents are set to face late night traffic delays as the A27 goes under maintenance works for up to five nights from Tuesday August 30th.

Between Offington Corner and just south of the junction with Mill Lane, both carriageways will close between 7:30pm and 5am.

This means that the A27 junction with Half Moon Lane will also be closed overnight, and there will be restricted access to the surrounding area.

West-bound traffic will be diverted north along the A24 Findon Road to join the A27 Arundel Road at the Clapham interchange; East-bound traffic will use the same diversion route in the reverse direction.

There will be another five nights of roadworks further west along the A27 on or after Monday September 12th, between the same times.

A 40mph speed restriction will be in place overnight between the bridge at Clapham interchange and east of the Coach and Horses pub cross-over. The west-bound carriageway will be closed overnight for about 100 yards, by Windrush Close and Holt Lane.

Also affected will be right turns on to the east-bound carriageway of the A27, from the Coach and Horses pub and from Castle Goring Mews.
