Bennett Griffin Solicitors Worthing have a selction of regular blogs this week its all about making a will to cover your on line accounts.....
We have found an interesting article click here about the importance of leaving instructions on how your online accounts should be dealt with after your death.
Most people appreciate the importance of making a Will that covers their property, bank accounts and investments, but few of us think to extend that to our digital assets. A growing number of us use the internet regularly for keeping in touch with friends and family, for shopping, for selling unwanted items, for banking and for gaming. The sites we use can hold real value, whether in accrued credits, or in actual money such as a PayPal or online bank account. If you do not make a note of your account details and passwords, these assets may well be lost when you die.
At Bennett Griffin, we provide our clients with an ‘Instructions to Executors’ form that includes a section for digital accounts. This is valuable and sensitive information, so we recommend it is sealed and stored securely with your Will.
