Fingers crossed for some more wonderful weather this weekend to help ensure the hugely popular Wolverhampton Show is a big success.

Packed with fun and entertainment, the free weekend event gets under way in West Park at 11am on Saturday (10) and runs until 6pm both days.

Attractions include the Royal Artillery’s motorbike and parachute display teams, 7.5 tonne monster truck Big Pete and James Dylan’s Stuntworld.

Along with the many displays for animal lovers, will be the chance to see Gerard Naprous and the Devil’s Horsemen in action.

French-born Gerard is renowned for his expertise with horses, and his skills have been featured on a number of films, including Braveheart and Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, as well as in a number of pop videos and TV shows.

Bob Hogg will also be entertaining the crowds with his team of sheepdogs, who herd not just sheep, but ducks and geese – and his wonderful attitude and sense of fun is always a great draw for younger visitors.

There will also be a giant funfair, trade stalls, arts and crafts, the West Midlands Fuschia show, plus a whole host of other attractions.

And all for free!  The show always creates a real flavour of a classic countryside show, in the middle of a city, which is no small achievement.

It is a great weekend of fun, and a real credit to Wolverhampton.
