Wolverhampton arts centre releases new programme for spring 2022

Newhampton Arts Centre in Dunkley Street, Wolverhampton are incredibly excited to announce a brand new complete and diverse programme for the spring season in 2022.

Jim Rattigan, who in his role as the UK’s leading jazz French Horn player, will open the season and live Jazz season on Wednesday 26th January at 8pm. Tickets are £13.50

As part of Wolverhampton Literature Festival, Newhampton Arts Centre will welcome special guests, Steve Davis & Kavus Torabi. Appearing on NAC’s stage on Thurs 3rd February, they will talk about the unlikely story of a 6 time World Snooker Champion and BBC snooker ‘pundit’ turned techno DJ and his relationship with a psychedelic True Believer. This will be followed by Don Letts as the Rebel Dread looks back on his life and career on Sunday 6th February.

 Other highlights include family theatre for Half Term, I Spy with My Little Eye, with two performances taking place on 24th & 25th February, and an Easter treat with magical circus theatre adventure, Ernie’s Journey on Tuesday 12th April.  Live music continues with Dreadzone, Ex-Ned’s Atomic Dustbin members, Spairs and Ian Prowse. The arts centre is also presenting live comedy with Tony Law and Britain’s Got Talent winner, Lost Voice Guy. Theatre events in March include ‘The Last Quiz Night on Earth’ and ‘YES! YES! UCS!’. The new season also sees a combined arts immersive performance ‘Freedom Road – A Re- Imagining’,  honouring the civil rights movement both here in the UK and in the USA.

NAC are also thrilled to announce the launch of a new website. The site features a brand new what’s on section which will make it clearer to find events and making the booking experience smoother and easier, thanks to the brand new calendar and search functions.

Last November saw the café at the centre re-opening, located at Newhampton Arts Centre on Dunkley Street, which has created it’s a perfect space drink a Lavazza Coffee and read through the brand new season brochure whilst trying some of the delicious offerings on the lunch menu.
