The City of Wolverhampton Council is here to help with a wide range of
support with the cost of living and comprehensive advice on maximising
income by making sure residents are getting all support to which they are
entitled.
For example, if paying council tax is a concern, then talk to us as there may
be things we can do to help.
Councillor Louise Miles, Cabinet member for Resources said:
“We know how difficult things are and supporting the city through these
challenging times remains our top priority. We’re doing everything we can to
help our residents, so please talk to us.
“We recognise these are very economically challenging times for councils and
income from council tax plays an important part in balancing our budget. But
we understand how difficult it is for everyone now and, if council tax is one of
the things you’re struggling to pay, then we might be able to help.
“Our advisors will be able to see if you’re entitled to any discounts or
reductions or they might be able to reschedule your payments over a longer
period. We really do want to help, so get in touch.”
Please call 01902 551166 or visit www.wolverhampton.gov.uk/council-tax

It’s also worth looking at maximising your income:
 Missing out on benefits? It’s estimated £19 billion goes unclaimed
each year in benefits, check you’re getting everything you’re entitled to
by contacting us and asking for a ‘missing benefits’ assessment on
01902 555351 or email wrs.benefitshelpline@wolverhampton.gov.uk.
If you prefer there’s an online form: just visit
www.wolverhampton.gov.uk and type ‘missing benefits’ into the search
bar. We’ll not only advise on what you might be missing out on, but
help you claim it too.
