Do your dogs and cats enjoy snuggling on the sofa?

Cats and dogs are great company but they need to be kept occupied.  If they are bored, they may have a tendency to “play” with your sofa or furniture, especially young puppies who love nothing more than something new and destructible.

The Sofa Factory Outlet in Wolverhampton supply high quality sofas that are made by experienced craftsmen and they pride themselves on their great value products and exceptional standard of customer service.

Keen for you to take care of your sofa, they have some top tips on how you can care for both your pet and your sofa at the same time:

  • Get your sofa protected – fabric and leather protection is available and will prevent against staining or spillages from you or your pet. Leather protection even protects against rips and tears.
  • Some leathers are more pet friendly than others, ask a member of the team at The Sofa Factory Outlet to find out more!
  • If you are choosing a fabric sofa, consider a pattern rather than a plain fabric as it will do a better job of hiding imperfections caused by your pet.
  • Consider a sofa with removable, washable covers, muddy paw prints can easily be washed away.
  • Clean your sofas on a regular basis to prevent the build-up of fur.  Lint rollers are a great way to remove pet hair but if your dog moults it would be better to put on some marigolds, dampen with warm water and vigorously wipe the areas covered in fur.  Amazingly, the fur sticks to the gloves.
  • When you go out of the house, your pets may become lonely.  If you have a cat, why not install a cat flap to allow it to come and go as it pleases?   If you have a dog, take it for a long walk before you go out and then leave plenty of toys around for it to play with.
  • Dogs tend to chew, bite and scratch when emotionally charged.  Try fussing your pet five minutes after entering the house, and not straight away.

The knowledgeable team at The Sofa Factory Outlet appreciate how difficult the process of choosing a new sofa can be, so they go out of their way to provide you with all the help you'll need to make sure you get exactly what you want.   Go along and ask all of the questions you want.
