Compton Hospice launches ‘Make a Will Week’ campaign

From 4th to 8th November 2013 Wolverhampton based charity Compton Hospice will be encouraging it’s supporters to plan for the future now as it launches its latest campaign - ‘Make a Will Week 2013’.

The campaign will see the hospice partnering with will writers from across the Black Country to encourage the public to make arrangements to put their affairs in order before it is too late.

Simon Cater, Corporate Fundraiser for Compton Hospice, said “Writing a will is, all too often, one of things we mean to get around to but never seem to do. More than 60% of the UK population do not have a will. Whilst the idea of writing a will many not be priority for many the consequences of not putting a will in place could result in your property / assets being left to those you may never have wanted to include, and friends or charities you want to remember being overlooked.”

Mr Cater added “‘Make a Will Week’ has been organised to make the process of writing a will as simple as possible by putting people in touch with professionals who, for this week only, can offer heavily discounted rates. Having a will in place offers you and your loved ones peace of mind and ensures that those you care about are left with more than just a memory.”

The campaign offers individuals the chance to write a basic will for a reduced fee of £60+VAT of which 50% will go to Compton Hospice to fund patient care. This offer is only valid between 4th and 8th November after which date the fee will increase.

Some participating Solicitors are able to make arrangements to meet individuals in their own homes or meet with groups of employees at a place of work.
