BBC ONE’s ever-popular series Antiques Road show headed over to the Wirral to film its 35th series in Port Sunlight Village in June of this year with a range of antiques experts valuing potential treasures large and small.

Some of Britain’s leading antiques and fine arts specialists were on hand to offer free advice and valuations to visitors, who were invited to raid their attics and take along their family heirlooms, household treasures and car boot bargains for inspection by the experts.

This historic setting, originally home to the Lever Brother’s soap factory workers, was the perfect match for the series that prides itself on uncovering priceless antiques that have been hidden away in people's homes for years.

This will be presenter Fiona Bruce’s fifth year with the Roadshow and she says, “Presenting the Antiques Roadshow is, for me, one of those rare and very lucky coincidences in television when you get to work on a show that you already love to watch. Exploring the human story behind every object is what makes Antiques Roadshow so fascinating. And everyone loves the agony and ecstasy of the 'what's it worth?’ moment. The programme isn't just about antiques - its history, beauty and drama all wrapped up in one.”

Port Sunlight is featured on BBC ONE's Antique Roadshow on Sunday 14th October at 8.30pm & Sunday 21st October also at 8.30pm.
