New Wimbledon Studio
South London's exciting fringe venue

New Wimbledon Studio is one of the most exciting fringe venues in South West London. Originally an Edwardian Ballroom where (so legend has it) Fred and Adele Astaire once danced, the New Wimbledon Studio is now an intimate performance space seating 53-80 in a flexible seating layout.

Located within the New Wimbledon Theatre building itself, New Wimbledon Studio aims to give you high quality theatre that is good value for money, and show a wide range of productions which appeal to students, families and theatre-goers all across London.
Over the last 15 years the New Wimbledon Studio has established itself as a venue for professional small-scale theatre performances.  Its particular achievement has been the breadth of the programme from revivals of classic drama and new plays, musicals, children's theatre, to literary events, live music and comedy.
The studio space is also available for hire for private functions, business briefings and workshops. For all Studio programming and hire enquiries please email Fiona Grant at
Open 30 minutes before the performance. Come down early and enjoy the intimate surroundings of the Studio Bar – the perfect place to relax and meet friends.
Please advise of your access needs at the time of booking:
 - Lift access from The Broadway to the auditorium
 - Wheelchair accessible toilet facility
 - InfraRed hearing system
