Copperfield's is Wimbledon's favourite secondhand bookshop, and since we established in 2001 we've steadily built a reputation for our range of antiquarian, rare and secondhand books.

Our charming little bookshop - in the heart of Wimbledon town centre - comprises of 4 rooms containing over 30,000 books stacked, as you'd expect, from floor to ceiling and in every nook and cranny around the bookshop. And if you don't find the book you're looking for simple ask us, Joe and Jane, for we have a further 20,000 titles in storage.

At Copperfield's Second Hand Books we're constantly adding to our stock of over 50,000 used, antiquarian and rare books, with additional titles being shelved every day. If you've already visited our bookshop once another visit would be time well spent… you never know what gem you may unearth!

All subjects are comprehensively represented - from art to zoology - and it would be futile to attempt to list our specialities here. Nevertheless, we have a specialist selection of books on the following:

Rare and antiquarian books

Our bookshop has a large selection of out of print rare and antiquarian books. We've recently acquired a rare selection of 17th and 18th century books, with several very rare books in the library. Give us a call or pay us a visit to arrange a viewing of this exquisite collection.

We also stock a large selection of first edition books on a whole range of subjects.

And if rare books aren't your thing we have thousands of current bestsellers, including hardback fiction, in excellent condition and at a fraction of the price you'll find in high street bookshops.

Opening times and location

In order to offer a truly convenient service to all our customers throughout Wimbledon and Merton Copperfield's Second Hand Books is open 7 days a week. Our opening times are as follows:

Mon-Tues-Wed: 10am to 7pm
Thurs-Fri: 10am to 8pm
Saturday: 9am to 6pm
Sunday: 10am to 5pm
