On Thursday 10 August, escape from the office with your work colleagues or come along with the kids, for lunch or dinner and enjoy delicious food from one of the food trucks.
Something for everyone from rustic pizzas, South African bunny chow (no bunnies harmed!), the best dumplings, buttermilk chicken, gourmet burgers, mac ‘n’ cheese, pulled meats, American Southern food or something from the bbq.
The trucks will be serving food and snacks from midday until 7pm with a live performance from Roxy Searle at 1pm. Music will continue throughout the day with a DJ set from Rich Winchester at 4pm.
Alongside this festival of food and music will be a Grand Marquee hosting Makes and Bakes for you to buy, take home and enjoy. Everything from Linda’s cupcakes, Jolly Tasty Fudge, Brockleby’s pies and Indian Orchard pickles and chutneys. Sambo Scribbles will be showing her gorgeous prints and cards with a fabulous Face Painter from 1–4pm.
Street Food is a monthly event taking place on Howardsgate, always on the the 2nd Thursday of the month. The remaining dates this year are 14th September and 12th October and then it will take a break and return in the Spring.
