Welwyn and Hatfield Local Plan
13th February 2015
... Comments

Welwyn and Hatfield Council’s Local Plan is currently out to consultation.  It details the areas for future housing, traveller sites, cemeteries, employment and retail in Welwyn Hatfield.  This is your chance to have your say.  The consultation period runs until 19th March 2015 and all residents should take a look as the proposed increase of 12,500 homes by 2031 is bound to affect us all. Over 7,000 of those homes are proposed to be built on land that is currently designated as Safeguarded and Green Belt.

For more information please go to:

Comments on the plan can be left online at the website address above.  All comments will be available for viewing once the consultation period has closed.

Once the consultation period ends, a final plan will be produced by the end of the year with a view to it becoming formally adopted by the end of 2016.
