Get fit and lose weight

Number one on most people’s New Year’s Resolutions list. And there is no excuse not to get fit in Welwyn Hatfield – we have great sports facilities here in Welwyn Hatfield.

Join Gosling Sports Park with its gym, excellent exercise classes, tennis, football and cycling in Welwyn Garden City

Hertfordshire Health Walks

If you just want to walk, get some fresh air and meet new people, then why not try the regular Health Walks in Sherrardspark Wood?


Take up a new sport

There are lots of sports classes around.  Fancy Women’s American Football?  Come to team training on Saturday 16th January from2pm til 4pm.

Used to play netball and thinking about taking it up again?  Come and see Hertfordshire’s top players play a match against Loughborough Lightning on Saturday 16th January to whet your appetite.

Do different things – go out more

There is a lot going on in Welwyn Hatfield if you know where to look.  Events can be listed free of charge on thebestofwelwynandhatfield website and so it is a great place to take a look and see what is happening locally.

Did you know there are regular comedy nights at The Doctor’s Tonic in Welwyn Garden City.  The next one is on 4th February.  The December comedy evening was really good.

Open Mic Nights at The Cowper Arms in Digswell – every Tuesday evening

Or take advantage of the shows and music at the Weston Auditorium in Hatfield.  The de Havilland Philamonic Orchestra are playing Rachmaninov - Symphonic Dances and Shostakovich - Symphony No. 5 on Sunday 7th February.
