Armistice Day

Today being Armistice Day I wanted to give my personal thanks to all our brave soldiers past and present.

In a year which has seen the deaths of the last three veterans from the Great War and the continuing loss of life in Afghanistan the Rememberance Ceremonies that have taken place throughout this week, have left lots of us ordinary citizens with lots to think about.

Seeing and hearing about the unbelievable acts of bravery by our forces, whilst at the same time, reading about the lack of resources they are facing whilst under constant threat makes me very upset.

I think we have reached a turning point and perhaps public opinion is rapidly now concluding that our forces should be withdrawn.

What do you think?

I would love anyone who lives in the Welwyn Garden City area and has a son or daughter presently serving in Afghanistan to give us their opinion?
