Popular Café in Watford. 

Café in the Library is located within Watford Central Library just outside the town centre and offers a place for people to sit back and relax whilst enjoying a drink and a bite to eat. 

Run by Watford Mencap who provide support and services to people with a learning disability and their families in Watford, Three Rivers and Hertsmere, Café in The Library is open seven days a week.

Food and Drink

If you’re looking for a great café serving coffee and cake in Watford, Café in the Library is the place to go – and you don’t even have to be a library user to visit!

Serving sandwiches, wraps, soup, crisps, popcorn, fruit buns, cakes and more. They are also proud to serve coffee that is Fairtrade and Organic as well as Fairtrade Devine Chocolate.  One customer recently commented that they serve “the best coffee in Watford!

Take away cups are biodegradable and fully compostable. 

Community Meeting Room

At the rear of the Café, there is a community meeting room that can accommodate 30-40 people in theatre style.  If you need a space to host a meeting or training session, talk to a member of the team today to discuss your requirements.  

The cafe is also a training environment for people with learning disabilities to learn and develop new skills in catering, customer services and hospitality and an accreditation and skills for Retail.

Monday to Friday: 9:30am to 5pm

Saturday: 9:30am to 3:30pm

Sunday: 1pm to 4pm
