Budding chef Callum Robinson from Warrington heads to London on Friday with dreams on impressing a panel of judges in the final stages prior to the televised editions of the BBC’s Junior Masterchef.

Callum, aged 11 and at Bridgewater High School, hopes to tickle the taste buds of some hard to please judges as he cooks a dish which he hopes will land him a place in the televised stages of the popular cookery programme, Junior Masterchef which will be screened in August.

The competition is naturally tough but Callum is confident of success as he has been practicing dish after dish to win a place in the televised stage.

Callum will be accompanied on the trip with his mum and dad, Ian and Siobhan, who run a very successful catering company based here in Warrington.

Ian, Managing Director at The Crazy Catering Company, said 'Naturally I'm really proud that Callum has got this far. We're all looking forward to Friday’s trip to London and I really hope he can get though to the televised stages. It would be a fantastic achievement'.

Ian told use that Callum has been working hard to perfect his presentation dish for the judges and that at least the kitchen back at home will remain tidy on Friday!

Good luck to Callum and we look forward to updating everyone on his progress.
