A former Royal College of Art student, and now a teacher at Warrington Collegiate, Nicola Billington will be showcasing her latest work in an exhibition at The Gallery at Bank Quay House.

Nicola will be exhibiting alongside two other NW artists exploring their own themes of 'Self' through respective mediums of expression including 3D, Textiles and Printmaking.

'I am so pleased that my students can view my recent work and hopefully be inspired by what they see! The gallery is a great platform for local artists like myself to get involved and show the great artistic talent of Warrington.'

Collaging materials, found images and text, and working over the surface with paint, stitching and drawings, Nicola's work becomes that of a visual diary.  Explaining the title of the exhibition Nicola states: ''Self' to me is about self realisation, self direction, self fulfilment and self discovery.'

Also exhibiting will be:

Christine Evans

Christine is a printmaker who has always been interested in line quality and loose mark making.  Her content is everyday things in front of her, either in regular surroundings or whilst travelling. The outcomes become personal snapshots and souvenirs of Christine's life.

Carys Anne Hughes

Carys works with a variety of materials to communicate a narrative that is both personal and universal.  Her media consists of rejected toys, dolls, and cloth selected by way of serendipity and often the story is entwined in their history or what Carys interprets as their history.

Exhibition continues to 1st March 2011.

Open Monday - Saturday 9-5pm,  Free admission
