To secure a place on the challenge, the team were tasked with raising £1500 in sponsorship. This took place through a variety events including a family fun quiz at David Lloyd, bag packs, bucket collections, raffles and much much more!

Warrington Youth Club is the largest voluntary sector Youth Club in the town and currently works with over 2000 young people each month from ages 7-25. They believe in “Inspiring young people to achieve”. As well as their action-packed school holiday clubs they support young people with social, emotional, fitness, educational and personal development programmes.

The event was organised by Health Enrich, Assured Wealth and Moore Finance, three local companies that have come together with the sole purpose of giving back to local people who need their support and assistance. As well as supporting Onside Warrington Youth Club, the riders are also raising funds for the following three Charities:

SASSY, a charity supporting young people who are experiencing self-harm or at risk of suicide, educating young people about the trauma of bullying, hate and stigma; Hand on Heart, A charity fundraising to purchase and install free defibrillators in primary schools, and teach life-saving CPR techniques to children and staff and Brainwave, a charity supporting children with brain conditions, injuries and disabilities, to develop greater independence and achieve their potential in life.

Dave McNicholl, CEO said “As a registered charity we are not guaranteed funding and rely on supporters and fundraising. I am immensely proud that members of the Onside Warrington Youth Club staff team have taken on this challenge, not only to support us, but to also support other young people’s charities within the town”.
