Last Minute Printing is Warrington’s Most Loved Business
A national campaign to find Britain’s most loved local businesses has discovered that Last Minute Printing is Warrington’s favourite small business.
Thousands of local people from in and around Warrington put forward their nominations for their favourite local business as part of a national campaign run by local business champion Matt Cork at thebestofwarrington.
Among the most loved businesses in Warrington are :
Last Minute Printing – Printers
BPD Photech – Canvas Printing
Bloomingdales – Florists
The Gallery @ Bank Quay House – Art Galleries
West Warrington Business Breakfast – Business Support & Networking
Matt Cork at thebestofwarrington said, “The huge number of local people who took time to write testimonials goes to show just how important great local businesses are to this local community, especially during difficult economic times. Small businesses including those in and around Warrington are the engine room of our economy and lots of local business owners in Warrington – and their loyal staff – are feeling great this morning because their efforts have been recognised and appreciated by so many of their customers.”
Chris Welsby at Last Minute Printing in Warrington said the following;
'I was gutted we missed out on the most loved printers in the UK by just 3 votes. With the 'last minute' rush to get all the testimonials in we just missed out but there's always next year. But I'm absolutely delighted for the team that we were voted the most loved business in Warrington. It means a great deal to us. We are all local to Warrington and focus on understanding our customers needs and delivering great service'.
Celebrities supporting the search included World Boxing Champion Amir Khan, X Factor winner Matt Cardle, TV Presenter Eamonn Holmes and Champion Swimmer Sharron Davies.
A new survey of 2,000 people, also commissioned by thebestof.co.uk with YouGov, revealed that:
• Over a third of Brits said the Local newsagent was the most important highstreet business
• 71 per cent of Brits believe 2011 will be a financially tougher year for local businesses than 2010.
• 36% of Brits would be prepared to boycott major supermarket chains for a week or more in February to save local businesses.
