We have used Shimla for a few years now and never had a bad experience. The welcome, service and food are always great! We could go to any of the local curry houses and always choose this one. The food is amazing! Well done to all the staff and I look forward to returning!

I've been to the Shimla Aldridge many times for a takeaway, and for dining in with family an friends over the last 6 years or so.
Really enjoy the curry's there, especially the Salmon Bahar! The staff are always friendly, an your made to feel welcome whether it's dining in or collecting a takeaway.

My 82 year old mother says she doesn’t like Indian food but she enthusiastically took me to this place.
The food was fresh and original. Every dish distinctly different. In particular the naan bread was better than anything I have ever eaten before and I had an wonderful saag dhal.
Staff were welcoming and remembered my Mum from before. It has a great atmosphere even when not busy. Deserves to be packed. Please try it. Don’t be put off by the location - above a fast food outlet.

We’ve eaten on and off at this restaurant for a few years and it’s always been well managed and really clean . Tonight I had an absolutely beautiful meal , full of flavour and the naan bread was fluffy and fresh Sundays they do a meal deal so its definitely worth going and giving it a try

We’re from the US and came on holiday to visit friends and they swore this was the best Indian in the entire of Birmingham. They were not wrong! Everything was amazing, from the paneer starter to the tawa and tikka garlic chili chicken. The naan and garlic fried rice was perfect and great portion size. The service was amazing as they are extremely friendly and make sure that everything is tasting good. We didn’t expect it to be a highlight of the trip, but it ended up exceeding expectations and we will make time to dine in again next time we’re in town!

It was a good night and the food was great but the servers were recording us a lot for Facebook and it made it feel a bit uncomfortable. But they were nice :/
