It was a great experience for the whole family. Myself, husband and son really enjoyed making the keyrings for a small charge. The staff were all welcoming and friendly. Entertainment on Easter Monday was a clown, story telling , arts and crafts and balloons. We also exposed the museum and learnt about the history.
We then returned today to make Bunnies out of Clay. We had a fab time and definately will be returning again. Such a gem to the town and it stays. Will be such a shame to lose a piece of history.

A lovely FREE museum with a car park across the street. The staff members were fantastic. They each dropped what they were doing to show us leather working, products they sell and about other hidden gem museums in the area.
There is a lovely shop of discounted leather goods and a small cafe. We made our own keychains for a nominal price of 60p each.
We loved how we could touch most items in the museum and take leather pieces home for free. We highly recommend this little gem.

Visited the Leather Museum while visiting the area from Leicester. The museum buildings are lovely and the exhibit is well laid out and interesting. The staff were friendly and informative. It's free and the coffee is good. Enjoyed my visit.

A fantastic day at this FREE museum, learning so much information about the leather trade, along with history of the local area. Added bonus was the chance to make our own keyrings, and the friendly knowledgeable staff. Particularly enjoyed the stories being told by people who worked their whole lives in various parts of the trade, from curriers to hand stitchers.

The leather industry is still so relevant to the town today, and something the council should be protecting the history of. This fantastic museum is such an important part of our local history, and it would be a devastating loss were it to move.

Excellent little gem of a museum right in the heart of Walsall. Free to enter. The staff were very helpful and we even made our own leather key rings to take away with us for 60p!
This museum gave us a real feel for what it must have been like to work in the leather industry and how important Walsall leather, and in particular the saddles were to the world.
Will take about an hour or so to wander around. Would highly recommend.

Great museum for Walsall's local history and artisan work, and doing truly doing it's community a service.

Let's you make your own keychains for cheap, as well as offering workshops other leather craft items, with the help of some lovely artisans.
