Great food, great atmosphere and the decor was on point. Had a guy playing the piano whilst we had our dinner which set the mood to a great evening. The best Indian food I've had yet.

First visit to the 'Five Rivers' restaurant in Walsall, after meaning to go for a long time. A birthday came up so the perfect excuse.<br>Situated on the outskirt of the main town centre, close to local council car parking, which is convenient, and hidden away from the main road, so very easy to miss!<br>The entrance to the place is quite impressive, modern and inviting.<br>Inside a very large bar with drinks going up to the ceiling and accessible by a sideways moving ladder, abit like an old Victorian library. Plenty of space between tables so very open and also having an upstairs brining area.<br>Went in a Saturday night and our initial thoughts were that it wasn't very busy, we were proved wrong as the night went on.<br>Lots of uniformed staff who were very pleasant and attentive to our needs throughout the evening.<br>I ordered the Mirchi Murgh, which is very similar to Manchurian Chilli Chicken, and was very impressed with the look and taste of this dish. Very authentic and the first time I've had this served this early in any restaurant. For the main I had the Krahi Ghost, which was boneless lamb in a thickish masala sauce with green peppers. Not as flavoursome as others I've had, but still tasty, went well with a plain nan bread and a good pint of Cobra beer.<br>Overall good ambience, food and beer. The bill, with a service charge, came close to £100 for the three of us.<br>Would definitely go again...when a special occasion rears its head...

A really nice restaurant. We had a group of 7 people booked in for a birthday meal. A really nice place with a good vibe and atmosphere. Don't let the area itself put you off or having to negotiate the Walsall one way system as it is fully worth it. We all had a variety of different orders ranging from vegetarian options to chicken fenugreek and I can say that all of us were impressed with the quality and quantity given to us. I would say the food has a slight punjabi style which I really enjoyed.The ladies ordered a variety of cocktails and from the empty glasses I witnessed were suitably refreshed.<br><br>The piano player was a nice touch with very attentive waiters and waitresses- a real nice evening had by all. The final nice touch being they provided a small birthday cake for us to sing happy birthday to our family member.<br><br>Fully recommended and will definitely be back again. Keep up the good work!

Fine dining in Walsall!.. well here it is.. The Chilli Paneer is the best we have enjoyed in a restaurant as is the signature Sag Paneer!.. the fish starter batter could have had a little more flavour but would suit a delicate palate.. the Lasani Chilli Chicken was like a delightful home made curry (yum).. The garlic naan and jeera rice (with its fried onions) complimented the mains very well. Overall an excellent meal in a restaurant with a beautiful decor (updated Jan23).. a bottle of the Indian Grape Rose was a lovely accompaniment. Highly recommended!.

Came here for a 60th birthday party so we were in the private room upstairs. The atmosphere is lovely and the restaurant is decorated beautifully. The food was amazing (set menu) and the service from the waiters was great. Music was played in the background and this added to the nice ambience of the room. Really enjoyed our night and enjoyed every single course - food was top notch. Only slight criticism I would say was one of the waiters (blonde hair) was quite rude to some of the guests in the manner he asked them to move out of the way and then he was muttering under his breath afterwards which was not professional. If he has just asked politely in the first place, it would not have been an issue. This was the only negative part of the whole evening but other than that, everything was top notch and was a brilliant evening. Thank you so much for a wonderful visit.

It was our first time this evening going to this resteraunt and the service was amazing!<br><br>The staff were friendly, attentive and informative about the dishes, the food itself was beautiful and the atmosphere was incredibly cozy!
