I've been to Aura a good few times over the past years and every time I haven't been able to fault it. The prices are incredibly reasonable, the atmosphere is always nice and the staff are mostly friendly and chatty. The food has always been excellent too; The lamb balti is always my dish of choice. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Ordered for delivery, had to tell the man 5 times the postcode. Told 40 minutes, turned up 25 minutes late, to top all this off, we were a curry missing. Delivery man said don't ask me i just delivery it, phoned up and said they hadn't added it when 4 adults heard us ask for 4 curry's. Wasn't willing to rectify their mistake at all. Will never be using these again. Shame really because the spice lounge was fantastic and curry's were lovely but the food this time was painfully bland. To top it off, the delivery guy didn't believe us that we had paid over the phone too.

We ordered a king prawn korma which was well balanced in the flavours, not too sweet and plenty of coconut.
Chicken balti, good amount of heat and very flavourful.
Onion bajis had a bit of a kick to them and perfectly cooked.

We were really excited when we saw that a food van was coming to Herbert’s Yard that does orange chips, even better when we saw that it was Indian inspired.<br>We were really disappointed though. The chips literally aren’t battered at all and the pakora just tasted like standard cod bites. Disappointing.<br><br>EDIT:<br>After being invited to try the West Mids Chip Van again, I honestly can't believe the difference.<br>I must have caught them at a bad time before because the difference was night and day.<br>The chips were delicious and crispy, and the fish pakora was beautifully spiced, fresh and delicate.<br>The staff were great and explained that sometimes it happens but if you let them know, they will be happy to sort you out.<br><br>We had 2 portions and we both left feeling like it was on of the best meals we've ever had at Herbert's Yard.<br>We will definitely be back the next time they are in town!
