For anyone in or around Walsall looking for a truly authentic Indian takeaway, Saffron Balti in nearby Willenhall is a local gem worth knowing about. Their menu blends the best of Indian and Bangladeshi cooking, offering everything from tender Chicken Balti and fragrant Biryani to rich, slow-cooked Bhuna and creamy Korma. Each dish is freshly prepared using traditional spices and recipes that have stood the test of time.
Food is spot on. Always got it right. Staff are always kind and good manners. Recommend Saffron Balti 100% Food is 10/10.

Treat yourself to an Indian take away from Voujon Lounge in Walsall, who offer a comprehensive home delivery service for all their takeaway orders which is free for all orders over £9.00 within a 4 mile radius. With a variety of delicious Indian and Bangladeshi dishes to choose from, you'll be spoilt for choice.
I really enjoyed our visit here. It's a place that could easily get overlooked in a row of shops. Less so though at night when it's rather impressive entrance is brightly lit. I only only found it by chance and thought we should try it. I do read reviews before I go and saw nothing that would put me off. Note that I ignore all takeaway reviews.
It's unlicensed and you can therefore take your own alcohol.
It's a pleasant and clean place and the art work reminded me of the same named restaurant in West Bromwich.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and pointed out that they have an extremely competitive meal deal even on our Saturday night, most unusual in my experience. As such it must be the most competitively priced restaurant in the West Midlands.
We shared a sheekh kebab and onion bhaji starter, both were OK, and the dips were nice.
The wife's very flavoursome balt was excellent, I actually preferred hers to my Sylethi special. I note that this and a couple of other dishes including the zafraani come with a red gravy which I find bitter and so prefer the usual brown. The relaxed timing between the courses was just right for us.
Two pistachio kulfis finished off a very pleasant night.
I was a bit surprised that it was a bit quiet although they seemed to be very busy on the take away side.
I suspect parking could be a bit of a problem on a busy night but there may be a few spaces around that I am not aware of. We'll be back.
