Since June 2022, Walsall Council’s community safety team has issued 2978 fines, 1783 of which were paid without court intervention.

Councillor Adam Hicken, Portfolio Holder for Enforcement and Safe Communities,
“I think it is important we continue to highlight that we are actively targeting those who disrespect Walsall.
“With new investment, our enforcement action will continue to increase. We will install new CCTV cameras and invest in legal resource to issue more fines to those who think this behaviour is acceptable. “
All revenue generated from fines is reinvested into enforcement activity, including the operation of CCTV cameras, to continue identifying offenders and deterring future incidents.
Walsall residents have access to two Household Waste Recycling Centres, located at Fryers Road, Bloxwich, and Merchants Way, Aldridge — both free to use. The council also offers a bulky items collection service for residents who may find it difficult to transport larger items to a recycling centre.
Residents who require additional bin capacity due to growing families or medical needs can also apply for a larger bin via the council’s website.
