These reports or certificates should include schedules of inspections and the results of testing. An Electrical Installation Certificate or a Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate can be provided as a declaration that the new installation or alteration is safe to use.

As a Landlord you must ensure that your tenants are not put at risk, and this can be done by ensuring that the electrical installation remains in a safe condition

Landlords should also take care of electrical appliances and installations in order to prevent the risk of domestic fires. In the event of a fire, landlords are required to provide a planned escape route that has sufficient lighting so that tenants can find their way out of the property safely.
