Wendy Morton is campaigning to end delays to diagnosis for blood cancer.  "I first became aware of the charity Bloodwise" said Wendy Morton "thanks to a constituent and the work they do to support blood cancer patients, fund research and  campaign for better treatments."   Wendy recently met with representatives from Bloodwise who were in Parliament and launched a new report into the issue of delays in diagnosis.  Blood cancer is the 3rd biggest cause of cancer deaths in the UK and Bloodwise is calling for GPs to get greater support to recognise blood cancer symptoms, which can include unexplained bruising, bleeding, night sweats, fatigue and weight loss.   The report from Bloodwise entitled "Delays Expected" and a guide to the symptoms of blood cancer are available at www.bloodwise.org.uk.  For confidential support and information about blood cancer please call the Bloodwise helpline for free on 0808 2080 888.
