This week has seen a flurry of activity with Professor Gatrad OBE reigniting interest in our environment on several fronts. There have been 2 towpath cleans and more people and companies are invited to join in.  Both days had glorious sunshine to help with the events.

The first one involved WHG, Travis Perkins and Lovells joining in the canal clean at Birchills and the second was in Pleck.  Here WASUP volunteers were joined by Jenifer Carless the reigning Miss North Yorkshire and a Miss England Finalist.  She is also the Chief International WASUP Ambassador working with 12 other countries where WASUP is now established with respective Ambassadors in each.

Balbir Seimar BEM, WASUP Chief Community Engagement Ambassador, facilitated a fantastic lunch at the Pleck Gurdhwara.   The hospitality and support received from the Gurdwara sewadar and Incharges  is humbling and greatly appreciated.

Jennifer said, 'It was great to see many of the Wasupians that she had been meeting virtually on zoom and was impressed by the hospitality of the Walsall people. '
