Walsall's Christmas Eve Jingle - Celebrating Christmas in our Community
The Christmas Eve Jingle (Free to Join)
Date: Thursday 24th December 2020
Time: 6pm
Place: Outside your House / In Your Street
We have heard about other areas planning this and here at The Best of Walsall, we think this is a great way to bring in Christmas in your Street so we are encouraging the people of Walsall to get all involved.
At 6pm on Christmas Eve, we are inviting the residents of Walsall to come outside their homes, ring their bells and even join in a few Carols.
Santa needs all our Christmas Spirit to help fly his sleigh so this will be a great memory for the children and the community.
We know this year has been emotional and challenging but we have seen the generosity of local businesses and local people to support each other - let us all take this time to celebrate.
How does it work?
For this to work in your street, you need to let your neighbours know about it so they can join you on Christmas Eve.
We have put together an example invite that you can download and send via message or you can print off and post to your neighbours - see links below for invites.
We have also put together a Christmas Carol sheet with 3 popular Carols that you may wish to download also.
What do I do?
Please send an invite to your neighbours via message or print off.
Then on Christmas Eve, you and your neighbours gather outside at 6pm to:
-Enjoy a mince pie (and perhaps mulled wine)
-Listen to a Christmas Song or sing a carol or two (optional - see suggested Carol Sheet)
-Ring Bells to give Santa the Christmas Spirit to help his reindeers to fly
(Naturally maintaining social distancing guidelines)
I am sure each street will add their own twist to this.
