Celebrating the unity within our communities and working together is the aim of Walsalls's Windrush Generation Project 2020. Together Inspired To Inspire Collection and Unique Coaching 4 u, have been working closely with Walsall Creative Factory, Deb Slade, Walsall Black Sisters, Maureen Lewis, Caldmore Gardens and their clientelle, after adjusting the original plan to adhere to social distancing laws and restrictions.

  Together we have an amazing project all of walsall can get involved.   Celebrating the influences the Windrish Generation has and continues to have in the walsall community today. From NHS workers when the NHS was first founded, to the new public travel bus network.  

The first event of this fantastic project is:  

Walsall Creative Factory Windrush Special VIRTUAL OPEN MIC NIGHT FRIDAY 19TH JUNE 2020 7PM FACEBOOK LIVE 

An evening full of variety. Performances including dramatical piece, spoken word, family karaoke and more. showcasing music from 1940s to present day and capturing some of the words and feelings of the pioneers of Walsalls Black community.   

Radio Broadcast and interviews with some of the organisations and contributors to the project.   

Due to social distancing laws the following projects have been postponed until further notice:        

  • Allotment at Caldmore Gardens, with access to shed, tools and toilets. Light refreshments available.      

  • Garden Party and Concert Caribbean cuisine, steel pan band, variety of performance throughout the day, kids corner, DJ and so much more.   To everyone that is helping us  organising, contributing and supporting in anyway,
