
Approximately 35,000 households in the borough will see their bins emptied on a different day to their normal scheduled day over the festive period.
There will be no bin collections on Thursday 25 and Friday 26 December, or on Thursday 1 January 2026. Collections due on other days will be made as normal.
Revised dates are as follows:
If your regular collection is due on Your bins will be emptied on Your regular collections will resume on Thursday 25 December Saturday 20 December Thursday 8 January 2026 – A maximum of TWO extra bags of waste will be taken. Friday 26 December Saturday 27 December – A maximum of ONE extra bag of waste will be taken. Friday 9 January 2026 Thursday 1 January 2026 Saturday 3 January 2026 – A maximum of ONE extra bag of waste will be taken. Thursday 15 January 2026Fryers Road (Bloxwich) and Merchants Way (Aldridge) household waste and recycling centres are closed on Thursday 25 December, Friday 26 December and Thursday 1 January 2026.
Bulky waste collections and deliveries for new or replacement bins will not take place on Thursday 25 December, Friday 26 December and Thursday 1 January 2026.
