A Walsall poet has been selected to read his poems featured in the Summer Selection of The Poetree, a project hosted by The Space Station in Stafford to include poets with a wide skill set and variety of experience in writing.  The Poetree Project is a community project for local people to come together to produce, perform and have poetry published in a seasonal booklet.     Joining poets around The Poetree will be Walsall`s very own Anthony J Ball on 10th July for a virtual poetry performance online.  He  is a brand new poet from Walsall  making his mark on the poetry scene in Walsall  with the release of his first book 'Asleep at 3AM' which showcases his talent for writing, and the variety of themes to which he can write.     " Asleep at 3AM  is a collection of poems" he said " which range from deep, and emotional, to profound commentary on topical issues, as well as laugh out loud funny pieces. Included in the book are a selection of intriguing short stories that will have you hooked. A definite must read that contains something for everyone."   Before completing Asleep at 3 AM, Anthony was published for the first time in Black Dream's charity anthology The Last Time, and won first place in the TBM Christmas horror competion 2019 after receiving the most public votes.    "I am looking forward for a friendly fun evening of spoken word performance" he said "and I am proud to be included in the Summer Selection".     The future definitely has some amazing things in store for this up and coming new writer from Walsall.  To find out more, and keep up to date with the latest info please follow Anthony J Ball on Instagram @ajball50.
