From Saturday 4 October, Walsall Archives, located at the Lichfield Street Hub, will open on the first Saturday of every month, 10am to 4pm. This will make the service more accessible for residents unable to visit during the week.
In addition, Friday afternoon opening hours have been extended, with the service now available from 10am to 3pm.

Walsall Archives holds a wide range of collections that tell the story of Walsall’s people, communities and places. To make the most of a visit, residents are encouraged to book an appointment in advance by emailing the team with details of the materials they wish to access. This ensures staff can prepare resources and provide the best possible experience.
The archives catalogue can be searched online via the National Archives and Black Country History websites, while the collection of local history books can be browsed through Walsall Library Services’ online catalogue.
