Planning a trip to Walsall Arboretum this Summer? As part of the £7.6 million Arboretum Restoration Programme there is plenty to do and see for a great family day out

New Arboretum Visitor Centre

Walsall's Arboretum's new £3.5m visitor centre opened its doors last year. The visitors centre boasts a fresh cafeteria serving teas, coffees and light refreshments and is open daily.

Walsall Arboretum Train

Why not have a go on the Arboretum with a train! The train runs weekends and school holidays and is £1.50 per person for a round trip.

The train is currently stopping at the Grange Car Park, Lido Play area and the Visitor Centre

Splash Pad Opening Times

The Splash Pad at Walsall Arboretum is open until Sunday 6th September with the following opening times:

Weekends and School Holidays - 11am-5pm

Weekdays - 11am - 3pm

During periods of very hot weather, the Splash Pad will be turned off from 2.30pm - 3pm. This 30 min break has been introduced to help the water system cope with the extra strain due to the recent hot weather and hopefully run gremlin free through the whole day.

All opening times are subject to weather

Swan Boats and Rowing Boats

The swan-shaped pedaloes are taking to the water at Hatherton Lake for the first time in almost 20 years! Available most weekends.

So, if you are looking for something to do with the kids this weekend or upcoming Summer holidays, then why not pop down to Walsall Arboretum
