The first incident took place on Monmer Lane, Willenhall, where an individual was caught on CCTV disposing of bagged household waste. Following an investigation, the offender admitted to the offence, resulting in a Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN) of £400.
A further incident occurred on Suttons Drive, Great Barr, where household waste was again fly-tipped. The offender was traced, interviewed, and accepted responsibility, resulting in a £400 fine.

“The power of CCTV cannot be understated in tackling this issue. That is why we have invested in getting additional capacity, which we are now seeing the benefits of.
“We will continue to shine a light on these examples, to ensure the public know this behaviour is not tolerated in Walsall.
“Those who choose to fly-tip in the place we call home risk a substantial fine or prosecution through the courts. “
As part of ongoing investment in enforcement, new CCTV cameras continue to be rolled out across the borough.
