Walsall residents are gathering at the Sister Dora Statue this Saturday at 1pm to protest about the closure of Walsall Leather Museum.

Accrding to Samuel Davies "this could be the final protest!  After 15 agonising months and tireless campaigning we are just weeks away from losing Walsall Leather Museum.  Let that sink in.

Two weeks away from letting 400 years of history slip.

Please - if you can - turn up, show up and give one last show of solidarity.  This could be our last chance."

After 15 months of political wrangling, poverwhelming public support from the community, industry and acedemia locally and nmationally the decision to close Walsall Leather Museum is still being pushed through with questions burning about alleged overrule of policy, breach of protocol, meaningful community consultation and engagement.

"It is a decision that the community overwhelmingly opposes" said Samuel Davies.  2A decisipon that is inflicting irreparable damage on our community - the long held custodians of Walsall Leather Heritage.

This should concern everyone.  It is no longer merely a crisis of heritage - it is a crisis of democracy."

The meeting will take place at 1pm at the walsall Sister Dora Statue to march to the Museum for 1.30pm.

"We deserve answers" said Samuel Davies "and we deserve transparency.  And we deserve to be heard.  Now we need to stand together one more time.  Bring your friends and bring your family".
