Generous businesses from across Walsall have raised £3,500 for the Mayor’s nominated charity after taking part in a jumpathon and silent auction.

The event, organised by Thebestof Walsall – the online guide of trusted businesses in the borough, saw representatives from 20 companies complete a sponsored jumpathon at trampoline park Jump In.

In the evening, more than 100 adults and 60 children joined them at the Bentley Mill Way venue for a raffle and silent auction.

Alex Murray, managing director of Thebestof Walsall, said he was thrilled to have raised £3,500 for WPH, the adolescent mental health counselling service, which is being championed by the town’s Mayor, Councillor Marco Longhi.

“This was a really wonderful event that brought local businesses and the community together to raise money for such a good cause,” he said. “We’re very grateful to Jump In for donating its facilities and the buffet, as well as Thebestof Walsall businesses for giving many generous prizes.”

Thebestof Walsall is a business community network made up of more than 300 businesses in the town. Its aim is to support local businesses and the community.
