Today is the funeral of the young, inspirational Bradley Lowery, who recently lost his battle with Neuroblastoma. The whole country has been aware of the heartbreaking story, and have followed Bradley’s courageous fight both on the news and through social media.

The one thing that quickly became apparent through Bradley’s battle, was his admirable courage. His smile remained throughout, which is incredible seeing as he went through something nobody should ever have to…let alone that of a 6-year-old boy. His love of Sunderland Football Club and the game was something he and his family took solace by, and Bradley struck up a beautiful friendship with striker Jermain Defoe that touched the community. Bradley enjoyed many wonderful experiences, including becoming an England mascot in March 2016 and even winning ‘goal of the month’ in last December’s Match of the Day competition. It was the least he deserved.

For those who can’t attend today’s funeral, the family have encouraged the country to wear their football teams’ shirts in support of the Bradley Lowery Foundation. The organisation aims to raise awareness of Neuroblastoma and fight to find a cure, so here at Coinadrink we will all be donating to such a valuable cause.

Many of our operators and engineers will also be donning their football shirts today, and we wish to make our customers aware of this and the reasoning behind it. Of course, you can head to the website regarding Bradley’s battle, more information on Neuroblastoma, and further ways in which you can donate.

On behalf of everybody here at Coinadrink, we wish to share our deepest condolences to the family of Bradley, and we hope they take comfort from the fact that their son will always remain a hero who inspired others to never lose hope in the face of Cancer. That will never change.

There’s only one Bradley Lowery!
